A new federal law that claims to protect children from lead is leaving business owners across the country, and right here in our backyards, scratching their heads. The Consumer Product Safety Commission officially banned toys with lead on Feb. 10. The ban extends to ATVs and motorcycles for youth riders.Even though those products feature lead in the paint on the frames — and other components out of the reach of young riders — dealerships across the country have been banned from selling the products to youngsters or their parents.
