Outdoor Furniture Inspection and Quality Control Standards

Outdoor furniture plays an essential part in homes and public places such as the beaches and parks. These furnishings provide comfort while engaging in outdoor activities.

InTouch procedures for testing and inspecting outdoor furniture in China are the most advanced and professional in the industry.  These procedures include detailed inspection of both appearance and function.

In development of these procedures, InTouch refers to the following standards, in addition to its own knowledge base:

ASTM F1561-03
This American Society for Testing and Materials International standard deals with the performance requirements for residential and nonresidential outdoor plastic chairs.

ASTM F1838-98
ASTM International created F1838-98 to provide performance requirements for outdoor plastic chairs for children. Tests included in this standard define static load, outdoor weathering, and rear leg capacity.

ASTM F1858-98
ASTM F1858-98 provides performance tests designed for outdoor plastic chairs with reclining capabilities.

ASTM F1988-99
