Today’s consumers always aim for a product that is not too expensive, but has all the high quality components. Because of the different quality control organizations, consumers will now find it easier to find bathroom accessories that are of high quality. These organizations aim to provide a certification program for all materials in production by performing inspection and testing protocols on all the bathroom accessories.

The majority of bathroom accessories in production are:

  • Paper Towel Dispenser
  • Waste Receptacle
  • Liquid Soap Dispenser
  • Toilet Tissue Dispenser
  • Hook Strip
  • Tilt Mirror Unit
  • Cosmetic Mirror
  • Grab Bar
  • Shower Curtains and Coverings

BATHROOM ACCESSORIES INSPECTION PROTOCOLS

Producing Bathroom Accessories from scratch is what most manufacturers do. With the help of machines, mass production of different bathroom accessories can be done on a regular basis. Due to the nature of mass production, defective products are common in the production area.

The inspection process covers the different inspection protocols to be done to ensure quality control certification. Regardless of the type of bathroom accessory, the inspection protocols for all the items are as follows:
PRE-PRODUCTION INSPECTION

Machines to be used for mass-production of bathroom accessories will be thoroughly inspected for any signs of damage or defects prior to the initial assembly. The purpose of this inspection process is to verify that all of the machines, tools, and materials to be used during the whole production process are in good working condition.

Machines that show damage or defects due to overuse must not be used for production regardless of the type of damage to ensure that no defective products will be created on the machine.
RAW MATERIALS INSPECTION

Depending on the type of bathroom accessory to be produced, all of the raw materials to be used must be inspected and evaluated to ensure that all of the necessary parts and mechanisms are complete and are in good condition. The purpose of this inspection process is to shorten the amount of potential defective items in the early stages to minimize damaged final products.

Raw materials that show signs of damage like dents, cracks, molds, rubber defects, and/or any pre-production anomalies will not be used for the entire duration of the production.
ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

All of the raw materials that passed the inspection process will then be transferred to the assembly line where all of the corresponding components for each bathroom accessory will be categorized and organized. The purpose of this inspection process is to monitor the assembly line for any unusual assembly anomalies to ensure that little to no defective products will be manufactured.
VISUAL INSPECTION

Items that have been successfully crafted and/or assembled will be thoroughly inspected for any signs of damage or defects to ensure that all of the finished products are ready for the next inspection process. The purpose of this inspection process is to verify that all of the finished products are free from any imperfections to ensure that all of the products are of high quality as per ISO 9001:2000 standards.

Finished products that show signs of damage or defects, regardless of the level/state will be marked as “DEFECTIVE” until proven repairable.

COATING INSPECTION

Steel components to be used in bathroom accessories must be coated accordingly to ensure that all of the steel materials are protected and coated with the right amount. The purpose of this inspection process is to ensure that all of the steel or metal materials are coated with the right anti-corrosion agents for longer lifespan.

Items with poorly coated surfaces will be stripped and recoated accordingly to avoid contaminated layers during the coating process.
WEIGHT AND MEASUREMENT INSPECTION

The purpose of this inspection process is to verify that all of the materials of the same category are weighed and measured according to its product specifications to ensure proper product accuracy as per ISO quality control standard. Items that have inaccurate specifications will automatically be considered as defective.

FINAL INSPECTION

Final inspection and testing is required for all of the bathroom accessories in production to assure product durability, reliability and performance. All of the bathroom accessories under the inspection queue will undergo a series of performance and battery tests as per ASTM standards. Proper chemical laboratory examinations and composition testing and control will be done after the performance tests to ensure reliability and quality.

Products that fail the final inspection process are automatically considered as defective and will be disposed or recycled for future use.
