Gas stoves are used everyday in homes worldwide for the preparation of meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gas stoves have truly evolved over the years expanding to new sizes, colors, and new functions such as self-cleaning.
Today gas stoves being imported and exported in China must be tested thoroughly to conform to the International quality standards. Having a qualified quality control specialist perform various inspection gas stove inspection tests during all pre-production, manufacturing and pre-shipment stage is vital for gas stoves as they cause a big safety concern for consumers.

Gas Stoves must meet or exceed the following requirements during the pre-shipment stage inspection tests.

  • Energy input rate must be a minimum of 10.2
  • Energy efficiency must be a minimum of 10.5
  • Pilot energy rate must be a minimum of 10.3

Several additional inspection tests are performed throughout the manufacturing process. A few of these key inspection tests include:

Energy Input Rate Test

The Energy Input Rate Test is performed to physically assess any problems regarding the gas pressure and the electrical power supply of the stove. To estimate the energy consumption a pilot light is used to read the energy rate.

Heating Value of Gas

The heating value of gases in gas stoves test provides an accurate measurement of the total calorific value of gas ranging from 900 to 1200 BTU's on a ongoing basis. This test is used for regulatory compliance's, process control, and finally custody transfers. This test is performed using a continuous recording calorimeter tool.
