InTouch has significant experience in the inspection and testing of neckwear in China. Some of the types of neckwear which we have inspected and developed quality standards for include:
- bow ties
- ascot ties
- bolo ties
- casual kerchief
In development of our neckwear inspection protocols and quality control standards, we take into account a wide range of information, including some of these well-known international standards:
The American Association for Textile Chemists and Colorists developed the Colorfastness test method for the transfer of dye from fabric to fabric. The test method is intended to be an estimate for color transfer that is expected to occur during prolonged periods of storage and also to assess potential color transfer problems that relate to the finishing on various fabrics.
The American Association for Textile Chemists and Colorists developed the test method for abrasion resistance of fabrics. The fabric sample is subjected to flexing, rubbing, shock, compression and stretching by an impeller and then is evaluated for abrasion resistance.
The Okeo-Tex Standard was developed to test textile products for their pH-value, formaldehyde content, pesticides content, heavy metals, chlorinated organic carriers and preservatives such as pentachlorophenol and tetrachlorophenol. The inspection tests must be performed through the various productions stages to ensure that there are no harmful substances present in the textile products manufactured.
