In development of our neckwear inspection protocols and quality control standards, we take into account a wide range of information, including some of these well-known international standards:

AATCC 163-2007
The American Association for Textile Chemists and Colorists developed the Colorfastness test method for the transfer of dye from fabric to fabric. The test method is intended to be an estimate for color transfer that is expected to occur during prolonged periods of storage and also to assess potential color transfer problems that relate to the finishing on various fabrics.

AATCC 93-2005
The American Association for Textile Chemists and Colorists developed the test method for abrasion resistance of fabrics. The fabric sample is subjected to flexing, rubbing, shock, compression and stretching by an impeller and then is evaluated for abrasion resistance.

Okeo-Tex Standard
The Okeo-Tex Standard was developed to test textile products for their pH-value, formaldehyde content, pesticides content, heavy metals, chlorinated organic carriers and preservatives such as pentachlorophenol and tetrachlorophenol. The inspection tests must be performed through the various productions stages to ensure that there are no harmful substances present in the textile products manufactured.

ASTM D4035 - 02
The American Society of Testing and Materials developed the standard performance specification for knitted neckties and scarfs. The standard includes the requirements for length and width fabric directions.

ASTM D3785 - 02
The America Society of Testing and Materials developed the standard specifications for woven neckties and scarf fabrics. This specification is not intented for woven fabrics used for interlinings. ASTM D3785 - 02 includes the requirements for length and width fabric directions.

ASTM D4153 - 01
The America Society of Testing and Materials developed the specifications for woven handkerchiefs. The specifications include the requirements for men’s, women’s and children’s handkerchiefs. The specification does not include open - work fabrics such as lace.

ISO 61 - 040
The International Organization for Standardization developed the ISO 61 -040.The specification describes design requirements and testing methods for ties, gloves, scarves, and handkerchiefs.
