A pump is a mechanical device used to disperse liquids, and gases. There are various types of pumps manufactured today in China which include a few of following:

  • Hydraulic Ram pump
  • Pulser pump
  • Airlift pump
  • Rotodynamic pump
  • Centrifugal pump
  • Steam pump
  • Valveless pump
  • Sludge pump
  • Sand pump
  • Slurry pump

Pump Quality Control Protocols

InTouch is the leading pump inspection and quality control services provider in China. Some of the well-known quality control inspection techniques which we use to develop our protocols include:

Mechanical Inspections

  • Head and Flow and Vibration tests are performed on centrifugal pumps
  • A mechanical run is performed for one hour at rated duty for all variations of pumps
  • Hydraulic performance acceptance tests are performed on rotodynamic pumps

Audible Inspections

  • Liquid pumps are tested to ensure that the noise emitting from the pump conforms to BS EN 12639 noise test standard.

Visual Inspections

  • A visual inspection test is performed on the pump to determine the conditions of the pump and all it's components.
  • Pumps are inspected to ensure that the product contains no small air leaks, oil leaks, or grease leaks.

Pump Quality Control Standards

Listed are a few well-known quality control standards that Intouch uses in developing pump inspection protocols:

BS EN 25199
The British Standards Organization developed the 25199 which contains the centrifugal pump cover designs, materials and quality control inspection tests.

ANSI/API 610
The American National Standards Institute developed the Standard 610-1995 which describes the minimum design specifications for centrifugal pumps. This standard also includes the design specification for pumps that are being used as turbines.

DIN 5199
The German Institute for Standardization developed the DIN 5199 which contains the technical requirements for centrifugal pumps.

ASME B73.2
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers developed the Specifications for Vertical In-Line Centrifugal Pumps that are used in Chemical Processing.

BS 5257
The British Standards developed the 5257:1975 Specification for horizontal end-suction centrifugal pumps. The BS 5257 also contains the standard dimensions for seal cavities and base plate installations.
